How to Choose Golf Club for Your Game?
Choosing the right club for each golf shot is a key to improving your game. No matter how well you hit the ball, using the wrong club won’t get the result you’re looking for. You should keep in mind that today’s golf equipment comes in great varieties to cater for different golfing types and abilities. Each club is designed for a particular situation and distance. Cleveland, Callaway, Titleist, Ping, TaylorMade, Mizuno and Nike are all excellent golf club brands.
A regular golf set is 14 clubs, including woods 1, 3 and 5, irons 2 through 9, a pitching wedge, a sand wedge and a putter. Driver is usually the first club out of the bag on the tee. Fairway wood usually improves a golfer’s accuracy and allows golfer to loft the ball higher. Iron club is definitely riding on the edge of technology and getting less expensive. Putter is a club that has certainly gone high technology.
Figure out how fast you hit the ball. Because the speed you hit the ball will tell you what type of shaft flex you need in a club. There are different degrees of shaft flex depending on whether you have a powerful swing.
Get to know how you hit each club. Usually, amateur golfers hit their woods and irons shorter distances than professional golfers. You can borrow one or two clubs from a friend. The shortest iron or a wedge is the best club to start. Practicing with it will give you the feeling of hitting the ball in the air and should be fairly straight forward. Learn your own strengths and limitations with your clubs, and stick to what you can actually do.
